Numerology is not an universal method. It can only be performed on the english alphabet. If you change the language then you get separate results for each language which cannot be justified. But even then its simplicity has made it a popular part of astrology. Since its very easy to learn even a kid can be a numerologist.

To find out “Number” of your name (In English) write your name down. Write down relative numbers for each alphabet of your name (as given above), add the number part by part and find the resulting number. For example your name is Lucky then do as following:
L=3, U=6, C=3, K=2 and Y=1
so add 3+6+3+2+1 = 15, add 1+5 = 6, therefore the “Number” for the name “Lucky” is 6.
